What is this website about?
This is basically just my weblog where I write down stuff that happens in my everyday life. This is also where I show my computer made graphics.
What is an auberginer?
An auberginer is a purple fruit used as a vegetable. It is called aubergine or eggplant in english.
But why Au-bee-r-gi-nee-r?
You might wonder why I chose the name Auberginer instead of keeping my old sitename. The reasons were that Cute Corner, which was my old sitename, wasn't mine anymore and beacuse it had a dash in the URL, which I didn't like. I've always been a fan of one word sitenames, like Auberginer. And it sounds cool too.
How did you start?
In late August 2006 I got interested in pixeling and created a site at Funtigo.com, called Happy Toyland (you can still visit it, but you can only see the splash though, unless you know how to get the URLs). My first host was pretty nice, and everything was fine. She offered to give me a domain, which I accepted and called Cute-Corner.info. After a well two-three-four months it expired and faded away. It was a dark, dark time, the two months without owning a site, but eventually I signed up for an account at Freewebs.com and called it Moonshine. It never got to see the world, but wonderful Michelle accepted my application. Auberginer was born!
